IKO Marathon – When price is the main concern

With only about 6 colors available at most distributers and the old 3 tab design this is not a shingle to consider for your dream home.  The wind warranty is quote low at only 60MPH which is all you can really expect out of these.  For only $10 a square or so more you can acquire some entry level AR or dimensional shingle which are highly preferred.  Nonetheless if price is the MAIN and ONLY concern you may be fine with these for 10 years or so.
