I put these on myseld bought them at Lowes Highly recommend, a bit heavy but get compliments every day.
Had these top of the line shingles from Owens Corning installed a few years back, they still look brand new and I expect to get a lifetime of use of out of them for the price I had to pay. Unique look too goes well with our house and isn’t the same as all the architectural shingles down our street.
This was the third roof I have installed on my house after helping a lot of friends with theres. We decided to go with this based on some review in Consumers Reports etc. Well it looks different and given how HEAVY the darn shingles are I would guess it would last quote a while. Be careful if you are ordering them you have to get a special “cap” shingle which or rep didn’t tell us so I ended up having to wait on those. Hopefully this is the last roof I’ll ever put on.
Well I almost got a real slate roof or some synthetic slate product actually made of plastic, these were very expensive for a shingle but a value compared to the alternatives that actually look like slate.
